Meet Amanda

Life coaching isn’t therapy,
it’s training for your brain.

Life coaching with Amanda is about waking up your inner Viking. We do not aim to survive, we aim to conquer and thrive.

Amanda has relied upon and trained her inner Viking to become a nationally ranked powerlifting athlete, and elevating her career to become a top performer in her field. She has overcome a genetic mal-alignment syndrome that caused severe knee issues, which resulted in two knee surgeries, one shoulder surgery, multiple injections, and physical therapy. She has learned to use “You can’t!” as fuel for accomplishments and she can teach you how to do it too.

Her clients leap to live life fully and fearlessly by realizing and achieving their highest potential. Through extensive study and practice, Amanda utilizes an unusual combination of Daoism and radical honesty to coach clients through life changes, physical feats, and career moves so that they can hone their own inner Viking.

Amanda has coached clients through major changes by not being a “yes man.” Instead, she is fearless about telling clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear, even if it’s uncomfortable. Each individual is different and Amanda knows that taking a cookie-cutter approach will not work for people that want a real, successful outcome. She can coach you to stop the cycle of failure and mediocrity.

Amanda starts with an extensive “get to know you” session where you uncover the real goal you’d like to achieve or challenge you’d like to overcome. During subsequent sessions, you'll discover hidden obstacles that may not have been known before by asking yourself hard questions and answering honestly. Each step is discussed and the path to the goal is evaluated. You will practice self-love, forgiveness, and let go of shame. Amanda requires complete honesty and candor during discussions to achieve real sustainable change. You will slay those dragons to allow your true self and higher purpose to shine through.

“Your biggest challenge isn’t someone else.  It’s the ache in your lungs, the burning in your legs and the voice inside you that yells, ‘I can’t.’ But you do not listen.  You just push harder.  Then you hear that voice fade away and start to whisper, ‘I can.’ That’s the moment you discover that the person you thought you were is not a match for the person you really are.”

On a more personal note:

I love traveling with my husband. I found that experiencing other cultures unlocks a key to life. I love animals and am a Mom to two cats and one dog. My other hobbies include lifting weights, boxing, watching Star Trek, and giving unsolicited advice. I’m a Myer’s Briggs (MBTI) ENTJ, I love the “F” word, and I have spent a lot of time learning what “health” really means to me and how to celebrate my successes rather than never thinking they are good enough.

I became a life coach by a chance encounter. I went at a group meeting and encouraged some of the other attendees. When it was over, they asked me for my card. I said, “for what, I’m in human resources.” That conversation, clients, education, and certification unfolded one of the most meaningful things in my life.

Every day, I choose this path because I love helping others and making a difference. I never phone it in or pretend I care about someone’s success. I love being part of other’s journeys and it holds real meaning in my own life.

Also, this may come as a surprise to some, but I’m not perfect (I got jokes). I also need coaching! I have two amazing mentors and coaches in Heidi Zeigle of “Heidi.Coach” and David George of “tcmbetterhealth.com.” I want to squeeze every last drop of ooey-gooey juicy goodness out of every minute of this life.
